A friend of mine gave me this old guitar about 20 years ago and I really no nothing about it. I do play the guitar so I know that much but I don't know the history behind it and would love to hear if anyone knows more about this model. I think its a 1972 but not sure. As you can see in the photo the tuners are not original (The say made in Germany and have a "S" symbol on them). The finish is starting to get this crackle look to it and there are quite a few dings. Also as you can see in the photo's that this guitar was really played by somebody! The man who gave it to me was from Austin TX and said it belonged to a great guitar player but didn't tell me who... a few years after he gave the guitar to me he died and I never found out who's guitar it was...
I am not selling this or trading it but I am looking to find out more about it and how I should care for it? I want it to last but I don't want to mess with the originality.
Any info is much appreciated!
Thanks,
Adam
