    Hi.Can anyone out there elp identify these.I've been told they are either French or Spanish from the mid 1700's.They have a small Angel marking on the handle of each lamp.Any information would be greatly appreciated.Thank you very much.

      i have a lamp that is very simalier the base is like a candel stick i havent been able to find out much about it i think it may have been used on ships the other thing is i seen one just like it on the movie pirates of the caribian when the ship burns down

      Your item is a whale oil lamp clock. As the oil burns down the level indicates the time.

      These are my lamps, and I would like to know how to verify the date and determine their worth. I have been told they are two of a kind and as such that makes them impossible to valuate.
