This is I believe a Victorian Fur Clip ! I dont know anything other than that, Im not even sure of that information ?
I purchased this many years ago from a local shop. Ive had it as part of my collection, and have never used it. I do know that it is old.
I dont know the materials it is made of ? or what era ? etc.
As you may see from the back of this clip, it does not have any markings on the back.
Please let me know if you have any information to identify this piece.

I've never heard of a fur clip before! But I can say you have a very pretty piece of history there. Most people don't realize that almost everything served a purpose back in the day.Whatever you find it to be enjoy it in all it's splender!!
I am not trying to be morbid at all, but sometimes, in that era, the jewelry was made to keep pictures or locks of hair in of deceased family members.
This website (collectors weekly) has a section of dress/fur clips. Im not sure it is victorian, it could be art deco ?
Hedgewalker, Thank you for your comment. Im eager to find out about this piece. I almost forgot I had this piece.
Probably more likely to be Victorian Revival from 1930s if it belonged to your grandmother (depending upon how old she was). DD@Phila
No, this piece did not belong to my grandmother, I purchase this piece from a local shop. Thank you for looking. Let me know if you come across any additional information regarding this piece.
