?I found this wonder at a garage sale in Miami when we lived there.
I fell in love with the pattern, and the fact that someone, long ago, loved this cup so very much they went to the trouble and expense of having it stapled.
This mending method is thought to have originated in China, and seems to have been used in Europe between the 1600s and early 1900s. Awesome, isn't it???
Not sure about the pattern and age of mine, but I love it!
