Miss Sweetnik is a real mystery! I have been able to find a picture that was posted in a newspaper from the 60's with the creator Lada Draskovic surrounded by these dolls that were made in Rome. They were also referred to as Beatnik dolls. There is a journalist that has a blog that has this doll listed as a mystery find. Both the journalist and I would appreciate any knowledge on this doll or its maker. The tag reads: SWEETNIK on one side and Brevattato Made in Italy Patented. She is made of sticks with a ceramic or clay head, her arms feel like pipe cleaners, her dress is cardboard covered in felt.
