This little fellow is cutie patootie! He is approximately 8 inches tall. He is without tags, missing an ear and an eye. He was found in a box of old letters dating back to the early 1700's. I have been trying to find another bear like him to get an idea on his age and maker. One person in an antique store said he was a course hair bear. Any help on when this little fellows birthday is or his maker would be greatly appreciated.

Rare blond Steiff Bear
Thank you for the info Jim, any idea how old this little guy is? I have been trying to find him on other sites, but so far... no luck. Thanks again!
Hum, I do not believe he is Steiff as his proportions are not correct. If he was a turn of last century Steiff bear, his arms and legs would be long and thin, and his "hands" would reach to his knees when laid flat.
