My wife and I bought this at an auction for $275.00 and all we know is it is cut glass ,cant figure out who signed it or anything else, she liked it. I hope someone can tell us a little about it.It is a great piece for our collection,Stands 16 inches tall,12 inches wide at top and base is 7-8 inches wide.

Thanks

It is a very pretty piece and possibly American Brilliant Period (ABP) glass. I know nothing about ABP glass except that there are far more unknowns than there are those pieces that have been identified with a maker and name. A good site for ABP is "Brilliant Cut Glass - Pattern Search". There is lots of serious ABP eye-candy there.

Hello............This not American Brilliant Cut Glass. It is a modern piece from Europe. Thousands of pieces of glass like this have been imported to the US. during the past 20 years or so.

For the fun of it, here is a link to New Cut Glass made in Colorado.

I'm not a professional at all, but it looks like someone engraved a name on this....maybe as a gift to someone. It doesn't look professionally engraved at all. Hopefully they didn't damage a beautiful piece of glass.

My mistake............Glass was not cut in America........ The signature is that of the maker, They use a diamond point tool to put on the name.

    You are welcome!
