This is an original signed by the artist. He is not known by most and paints only for himself. I know him well because he is my father. The sitter in the painting is my great grandfather. That is the way I remember him the most. Just sitting in that chair reading a book for hours and hours. Sometimes his cat would lay across his shoulders. Its amazing how one glimpse of the past can bring back so many memories. Hope you like it.

    It is such a gorgeous picture and has made me feel emotional reading and looking, I am sure that was not what intended to do. The thought of your memories and the cat across his shoulders - so lovely.

    No that was not my intention, But everyone should look into there past and think of the things that bring a smile to there face once in awhile. Just looking at it brings back many very good memories of my childhood. Thanks for the comment and the love. Have a great day :)
