I am intrigued by this piece, I purchased it years ago at an estate sale to use for flower arrangements. I put it away and forgot about it until I saw something similar on Antiques Roadshow and remembered it.
It's lovely with so much detail, there are swirls with the flowers for either water or clouds and 2 back stamps and a signature. I've looked everywhere online but I can't find any documentation to determine if it is Chinese export or something else.
In, any case it looks beautiful with an Ikabana arrangement in it...

It is Japanese silver and a nice piece.
Yes, a very nice piece.
If you turn the last photo 90 degrees counterclockwise, the character on the right appears to be a very worn character mark "jungin" meaning "pure silver" (usually .950 and up).
From the great website "Online Encyclopedia of Silver Marks, Hallmarks & Makers' Marks," 925-1000 dot com, right column, entry for "Japan"
http://www.925-1000.com/foreign_marks.html
I can't identify the other marks and don't read Japanese.
