I always wanted one of these, and finally found one at a reasonable price. It works, though it seems to gain time. The case is in good shape, and according to some of the info I have found, is plated with 24 carat gold. Mine is an earlier model, built in October of 1953. There are many sources for replacement parts, too. A neat piece, and now I know the secret of how they work.

Please tell, i found one too. Can't seem to understand how the hands works. I can hear it working however. Rivertrout
The glass turns! The minute hand is fixed to the glass, the hour hand works with the gears on the back. Important! Checkthe web, you're only supposed to turn the glass one way to set it ( clockwise, I think) Enjoy!
