Many collectors are not aware that a major Moser line from the 1890's consisted of pieces in yellow/white spatter with enamel. It is documented in the PMC III, and Passau has a large collection of them. The first photo comes from my visit to the museum in 2006. They usually appear on Internet as "Victorian enameled glass" and they also show up in flea markets The first vase is 11"; the third, 9". I must admit my absolute favorite is the middle one, only 4". The quality of the enamel is outstanding.

I have neer seen glassware in yellow. They are very beautiful! I'm wondering, what is the purpose of the pieces on the tray. Is it a soup tureen?
  2. Alfredo Alfredo, 5 years ago
Not a tureen; a punch bowl set.

Alfredo, I have sold so much of this, simply as Bohemian. I had seen some attributions to Moser, but wasn't sure of the attributions. I had a hard time even giving it away. I'll have to check your site to see if you have the Moser attribution there. If so, you will have probably boosted the market for this "lemon glass" several fold. Some of the lemon glass is not so ornate. I wonder if it is Moser or another company.

Yes, I do. Check under "Czech Identified". The tall vase in the first photo is featured in Band III:167 of the Passau Museum Catalog, pg.129, and is fully signed.
And yes, other companies made similar glass; the PM mentions undecorated examples.

I have a piece of this glass but it has brass feet, rim, and handles. I have searched everywhere for what it was and finally happened on your page. Lovely collection you have here.

Wow. It is like a piece of the sun came to visit, and just decided to stay. I want to invete them all over to my house.

Hi Alfredo. I have a simmilar vase with brass feet and read somewhere on the internet that it was Italian from around the 1880s... do you know if this yellow and white glass was also made in Italy?
  10. Alfredo Alfredo, 5 years ago
There are many examples of this glass in ormolu mounts. Italy may have produced similar glass, but I have no corroboration of it.

I love the punch bowl set- that helps me in identifying something I have because I thought it was a soup tureen because I didn't think punch bowls came with lids. Now that I see your piece, I was right the first time in calling it a punch bowl.

Hello Alfredo, I'm in love with this yellow and white spatter glass! I had no idea Moser made these, would it be possible to get a scanned page of the PMC catalog featuring this glassware?
  13. Alfredo Alfredo, 3 years ago
I'll pull out my copy and do the scan. I assume I can post it as an "educational material".

The lobed vase on the left-hand side of the first photo; I have that exact vase. (size, shape, and decor)
