I am fairly new to collecting and I fell in love with these dishes at a local antique store. As you can see in the background I have a love for white dishes and also anything milk glass. I am trying to find out the maker of these dishes so I can finish the set if possible. They say "made in usa" on the bottom but that is the only marking. I'm not sure if they are a type of milk glass or not because when you hold them up to the light, you can see through the edges. They are more opaque. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

This is Monax Petalware made by MacBeth Evans.I have a platter to match these.Very elegant pieces. They also have uranium Oxide if made before WWII.

I cannot thank you enough!! Now i can be on the search to finish the set. I bought 5 cups, 4 saucers, 7 small bowls, 8 small plates, 3 dinner plates and 3 pedestal bowls for under $50.00. I am hoping that is a good deal :-)

You did do well. My mother collected an entire set of these dishes for my daughter in the Petalware. And another set for another granddaughter in a different patern. Gorgeous.
