Its hard to explain the enormity of the Alameda (CA) monthly antiques fair, held on the runways of the old Alameda Naval Air Station, now a decaying ghost town straight out of the 1940s.
I go every month I can (its the first Sunday of Each month), and I'm not alone. The typical size (unless it rains) is hundreds of vendors and up to 10,000 attendees wandering around, buying stuff and just looking.
There are also incredible views - of San Francisco, The Bay, and the giant cranes that service the port of Oakland, right new door. In the next couple posts I'll post shots of some of the vendor booths.
