Phinney Walker specialized in automobile clocks in the early teens and twenties of the nineteeth century. These are German clocks made by the Shatz clock company.
This clock features an eight day movement and very stylized Art Deco ornamentation. I has a dent on the face of the clock and is tarnished a bit but it runs and keeps great time. The clock can be made to run slow or fast on the back. They made two varieties of this wall clock, this one, and one that featured just the frame ornamentation, no wood.
