A RARE piece of Frankoma Pottery ... POLITICAL TOKEN John Frank Representative 1962

OBVERSE READS ...
"Honest Fair Capable Elect John Frank Representative 1962"
REVERSE READS ... "Oklahomans deserve outstanding leadership For Statesmanship Vote Republican" and over the image of the state it reads "One Frank"

John Frank started Frankoma Pottery.
This was the first step into the political pottery realm to be later followed by their very popular GOP Elephant Mugs and later in 1975 their Democratic Donkey Mugs. On years of presidential elections, they winners were listed on the side of the corresponding parties mug.

    FROM WIKI ...
    UPDATE: June 1, 2011
A bit of Oklahoma history is now gone. Frankoma Pottery, a Route 66 business icon in Sapulpa, OK, was closed for over a year and then went on the auction block on May 18, 2011. Over a thousand pieces of pottery plus showroom fixtures and equipment were sold. The 1,800 original moulds and the Frankoma name were not included in the sale. The real estate also was not part of the auction.[6]
