I understand this was in the house when my grandmother purchased the house in 1966. Any information would be Appreciated How it works? what it is for sure? I think some sort of camera.
Here another Item that im not sure of I think it a camera of some sort if anyone can explain how it works I'll would appreciate | ||

What does it say on the inside of the door that is open in the first picture? I can't read it and it's cut-off..
First a little background because there's a good story here ... Brownie cameras made by Kodak were extremely popular and well liked, and, from 1900 to 1980 nearly 100 cameras had the "Brownie" name. The original concept was created by Frank Brownell who was tasked by George Eastman with creating the least expensive camera possible so that children might take up photography. The original Brownie introduced in 1900 is a historically important camera and highly sought after by collectors. The camera took its name from the cute little 'brownie' characters created by Palmer Cox, a Canadian author and illustrator. Even in today's digitial world, the name "Brownie" is still associated with Kodak.
Your No.2A Brownie was made from April 1907 to 1933; an extraordinarily long time for any camera. This looks like the Model C which was introduced in April 1924. It shot 2-1/2 x 4-1/4 inch images on No.116 rollfilm.
Several million were estimated to have been made while records indicate at least 2.1 million were sold before 1921; a true testament to its popularity!
