These Dualite clocks were used throughout the 40s, 50s and 60s. Many were damaged due to using too high a wattage bulb in them. Notice the melting on the 9 and 10 of the Sunshine Farms clock and the 3 on the ACME Paints clock. If your able to find one of these, buy it as long as you don't pay over $185 if condition is great! I've seen the Pepsi and Coca Cola ones and they are sweet! All are known to run very quiet and with a couple of new 7 1/2 watt bulbs it'll glow like new, without risk of melting the plastic dials.

Great collection Signaholic! Can the new L.E.D. bulbs be used in these? Or the CFL "twisty" bulbs, or stick with the incandescents?

Good question pickrknows, I just went with the 71/2 watts because I knew they didn't pit out much heat and that is the key with these plastic clock dials I think. Stay clear of any chance of melting ya know. Thanks!

I always use these bulbs now, they give virtually no heat. I ordered on line and they have a remote so you can change color and the bulb is rather dim but beautiful in the lamps I use, I have changed a lot of bulbs but these work fantastic.

Ebay # 260818896772 - the buyer seems very good from my dealing with them for the bulbs.

i had a few questions about replacement parts for these clocks the wires on the bulbs on my clock are really brittle can i get new sockets? and has anyone made reproduction plastic faces for these also.

I honestly don't know, I generally try to buy clocks that don't need new wiring.
New faces, I don't think so. The only re-manufactured clocks I know of are the Pam style clocks selling on ebay now. Pretty sure you can't find new plastic faces or dials for these. Knowbody's in that business, as far as I know.
