I have dreamed of owning the red vase since I first saw on in the late 70'S
I have been informed that it is early Loetz Tango, made before black rims began to be made. Thanks to Jericho Mora, a fellow Glasshound, I have been able to put together 8 vases with the same shape, but in different decors. Eddy Scheepers suggests in might be shape 5220, designed in 1907 by J Hoffmann, but I am awaiting confirmation by a third Glasshound.
The red is 11"; the yellow Tango is 8". Both are from my collection. The others come from Jericho's photo archives. The decor on the third is by Otto Prutchner, which shows how a shape from one designer could be decorated by another. Most of the decors on record belong to late Loetz.

UPDATE. Glasshound Lawrence Pault has just informed me that in the Loetz design book, pg. 889, Abb. 121, there appears a shape, 8441, which matches these vases much closer than 5520. I checked and it is correct. But I can't find a reference for it in the book, that is, an actual design illustration. Any help will be deeply appreciated.

Ref Ricke2 page 589 Abb 21, Abb 24 have line drawings (1912-1927)
Page 584 Abb 13 (1930) appears to have 4x vases (photo)
Page 585 has the KMoser jug ...
Not sure the 4th one is the same design ... Foot less pronounced ... sides look more vertical in the pics ....

Steve in order to find 5220 I need the year. Anyway, I think Loetz made similar shapes with minute variations on a standard shape in order to "pad" their number of lines.
5220 is from 1907 ... Lots of Titania, Olympia and Aus 140 and 153
