A couple of years ago we 'inherited' an office that hadn't been updated since the 70s. Unfortunately, my husband and daughter got there before me, and knowing my hoarder side, got rid of a lot of things. I did manage to save a few items.
One of the little things I saved from going to the dump is this fabulous perpetual calendar.
It is a souvenir from the 1967 World Showcase Fair (please forgive the awkward translation) on it's 50th anniversary.
The great thing about it is that it is automatic. It's spring loaded, and when you hit it "upside the head" it changes to the next day. The months are little cards that are switched by hand.
It still needs a buffing, but I think it's grand.
