A friend of mine gave me this radio about three years ago, and he got it from the original owner..At that time it did not work. so I went about the task of getting the radio working. I then went after the cabinet. It took me quite a while as I did not work on it all the time. These photos show the before and after.
It is a Canadian radio and a rare one at that because it has a clock on the side ,so you can set the time for the radio to come on and for how long it will play.
I collect old radios and this is one of my favorites. I invited the original owner over to see the radio after I was finished . He is now in his 80s.He tells me that he used to look in the back when he was a kid to see where the man was that was doing the talking.
I am not a professional refinisher nor a radio repair person, but it goes to show what can be done,if you give it a try ENJOY
