This Gibson catalog is from 1966, and it's a really drastic change from the earlier ones I posted (parts 1 and 2). Here we finally have Gibson guitars the way they were meant to be seen and admired---in full color. And in nature! Check out the pelican next to the archtop :-)
We're also getting into some serious electric guitars--the third photo shows the very innovative Thunderbird and Firebird in a ton of different colors. My dad thinks this was the first year Gibson did a full color catalog---a new era!
