This looks like a Barber bottle.
Its possibly a barbers bottle?... but I can't find anything similar to it. It has some writing that was painted on the inside of the bottle...of course can't tell what it says either. I've searched internet and can't find anything that looks like this.
it looks like an old oil can
Is it silver? It's lovely.
I believe it's silver but still can't find anything that looks the same

If you can't find any marks then it must be referred to as White Metal. It looks remarkably like a Czechoslovakian bottle dating from around the turn of the century

Dean-
there was some markings inside of the bottle that looked like at one point there were words painted on it...any idea what is was used for?
