On July 12, 1938 W.H. Lamport received patent #110489 for his combination clock and calendar. The mystery for this clock is who manufactured it. The Lux Co. supposedly marketed it, but Mark V. Stien in his 20th Century Clock Desk, Shelf, and Decorative book attributes it to Bugle Boy. Wesclox came out with a model also, theirs is denoted by the three patent numbers on the top. If you think the documentation clears up the mystery, it doesn't. Maybe Mr. Lamport granted Lux, Bugle Boy and Wesclox a license to produce them?

This one states Kal-Klok on the gold label on the top. Unlike the Wesclox model the lid is not attached. The time is set with the knob in the center, there is sound grate for the alarm, regulated (S&F),the alarm is set and wound on the top. There is another knob for setting the Month, Day of the Week, and the date. The clock was marketed in Red, Bronze, and White. A nifty novelty clock. The chrome ones are an aberration that some created by stripping the case and having it chrome plated.

Philman38, I have to manually set the date also the only thing that is automatic on these clocks is the time.
