This snuff bottle was given to me by my mother as a gift after she had it for several years. My mother was an avid antique collector and owner her own business years ago. As a form of payment once a client gave her this bottle and the customer owned her own antiques store so I am assuming this is authentic and not a replica. I am not sure as to what the material is I thought it was ivory but I am not sure, I have done some research online and think its either some form of bone, or possibly aged ivory. I cherish this piece of art and am just curious what these bottles are worth if anything? i know there are a lot of replicas online and its hard to know what is real and what is fake considering I am not a collector. I am hoping that some of you with a little more knowledge can educate me as to what I truly have and maybe a time period as to how old it is. Also if anybody knows what the estimated value is I would truly appreciate knowing. Thanks
