Pittsburgh, Ft. Wayne & Chicago Ry brass top, bellbottom railroad lantern made by the George M. Clark & Co. of Chicago, Il, in the late 1880's. The lantern is prominently marked P.Ft.W. & C. Ry. The 6-inch, ruby globe is has cast letters PENNa.. Co, and is outside flashed with a layer of red glass having high gold content, giving the globe an irridescent look in certain light. This lantern has a brass heater tube in the oil fount for cold weather service. Clark lanterns have a striking eye appeal and look very similar to comparable Adams and Westlake lanterns, except for their unique, frame bail attachment

    THE CITY OF LA TRAVELED FROM CHICAGO TO LOS ANGELES IN THE 30"s 40"s &50"s. COULD THIS BE FROM THAT TRAIN .AWESOME CONDITION.
