Documented almost exactly as pictured in Das Böhmische Glas, this Loetz Phen Genre was made in 1902-1903.
The term "rare" is often used as a marketing tool, without real descriptive value. Thats not the case here. There have been numerous Loetz "Blackbottom" Phänomen Genre 358 vases to come to market within the last five years. Only one Loetz vase with this decor has been offered for sale within that time...so the term rare is well applied here.
