This one was ready for the land fill... It set in a basement for +50 years. It was heavily painted with gold on the bezel, feet, crown. Dial paper completely eroded. Covered by an "inch" of dirt. Both mainsprings were broken. All parts in tact. Removed "gold" paint job and re-papered the case trim.

I believe I have a Wm. L. Gilbert "Dartmouth" clock can you tell me anything about it? It doesn't run at this time the door on the back is in fair condition the rest of the clock looks good.

The square shape was in demand because of the shape of the home furnishings.
The case is probably Mahogany about 17.5" wide. The movement is a Gilbert 8 day time with hour and half hour strike on two chime rods. The year is c. 1925
