Thanks again Jason, I thought it would be around 1900. I didn't know the maker. Now I wonder what it would be worth?
Cool find Cindy, any of them open up?
Thanks Jason and cocacolaman! They all open, one is a stamp holder, a note pad with pencil, a compact mirror, a pill box and a flask! It's a really cool find I agree.
So they are bigger than charms? Sweet!
Kevin, have a great weekend! Talk to you when you get back!!!
Thanks again Kevin. One hallmark indicates that it is made of coin silver, stamped 800. One of the hallmarks apears to be a crowned lion, three other hallmarks I can't read.
Great chatelaine! I'd love to see the hallmarks if you can get photos of them. Many countries, as you may already know, used lions in marking silver pieces. I'm glad you posted this because it reminded me that I need to photograph and share some of my sterling purses and chatelaine pieces.
