I obtained these figurines (book ends???) from my grandmother's estate. She had them behind her glass desk in her living room. I also took a picture of the sticker on the bottom of them. They are solid plaster. Does anyone know anything about these figurines. I have seen them make a "comeback" within the past year or so. I know for a fact that these are over 50 years old, but that is all I know. Any feedback would be welcomed. Thank you

Alexander Backer Company NY. Alexander Backer painted ceramics in the 1930s, and was known especially for his bookends. I like these, they would work well and have a powerful look.
