So, I came to gain possesion of this coke vending machine.
I know coke stuff can be quite collectable, but I have no idea what this one is and if its worth anything. I also dont know where to begin researching this. I was able to pull some serial numbers off the thing, but have had no luck "googleing" them.

The numbers, as far as I can make out are:
    12171

    0100900AE
    806030084

Its a Vendo Machine. I think the brown panel on the front is a replacement. But, I havent been able to figure out what model it is etc.

Any Coke Vending Machine experts out there able to help me out with what this thing is? The wife is on me to get it out of the back yard. But I have bit of a gut feeling it may be worth something.

    Thanks for any insight.

Look on vintagevending.com or sodamachines.com Looks like it might hold in the neighborhood of 80 bottles, so that might be in the model number. It's from the 1960's, It could be worth a few hundred to the right person and in good working order with all original parts in tact. It seems Vendos go for a bit more than Cavaliers (I have two Cav's), But it is still just a sixties machine and there are tons of out there !! Good Luck

Thanks for the info Tommy1002. Any thoughts as to where I can find the model number exactly? As you can see in the 2nd photo, there are two plates with numbers on them. One seems to be from Coke. And I cant quite make out much more that the two sets of numbers on the other plate.

I think tomorrow morning I will drag the machine out onto the patio and give it a little clean up, and see if it still all works. From what I've heard, the cooler works etc, but not sure if it lights up. Will post more pics tomorrow.

      Thanks again Tommy.

the tag is the best place look inside, maybe on the wiring diagram too and I mis-spoke before I think more like early 70's maybe late sixties. Do a quick ebay check to there are some similar. oh and it's soda-machines.com log in they could be way more helpful than I, lol
