Looks good !! I need to sort through my bottles and put the correct years in their respective carriers too.
Thanks Tommy and chevy59. These are all the Patent Office era bottles, I wish I could find some cheapo Dec. 25 ones too. Tommy, sounds like you have a bunch of bottles.
Remember when you could get those 10 oz bottles for a nickel apiece..Castro took over the sugar fields in Cuba (with our CIA's help..they missed the part about him being a commie) the price doubled immediately.
I've got about six cases, but most are newer. I was thinking this morning that if I could find enough correct bottles, maybe I could use some power and influence with some folks I know, to fill and cap em for me just like new.... any thoughts???
Well it's worth a shot. Do you know anyone at one of the bottling plants?
Thank you Sagehopper and olegaclokman47
Not directly but I know people who know people who know how to get these things done. LOL
there ya go! LOL
Cool idea, I have several from Spartanburg S.C. & Gaffney S.C., that were actually made in Laurens County, S.C......And just so happens I know someone at the local Spartanburg bottling plant, where I live...Hmmm, I just might check into it tomorrow!
Man, I love this site! Tommy wins!
WOO HOO hehehe I hit the triple today, 1 good idea and 2 spot on ID's. I'm playing lotto next lol!!!
LOL, you so crazy, you must be a Coca Cola collector.
Indeed Indeed.....
Hey Tommy, just bought a 1941 wooden yellow carrier off ebay for 30 bucks!
When it arrives, I'll be sure and post it. ;) Now I need to find some more bottles, maybe some "Christmas" ones I hope I hope.
When the bottle fairy lands in my garage I'll snag a few extras for ya!!!!!
Tommy that would be great if you have a hook up with the bottle fairy!
Hey, I was gonna tell you and anyone else that may care, I used Goo Gone to clean these bottles cause they had some sticky stuff on them but then realized it did kinda shine them up a bit, if you're interested. ;)
good tip, thanks!! So far I've just run em the dishwasher and air dried em. I just looked at the one case in my cave and I've got about 16 good "Pat. D" bottles in it, I'm headed to the garage now to see what's lingering in there.
Great, Keep me posted bro!
Terrible news my friend, unless you need 5 cases of ACL bottles, we're screwed LOL the good news though, is that they are correct for the red cases they're in... back to the garage sales!
Oh well, it was worth a shot though, maybe I'll get lucky this next few months and find 6 more somewhere.
i have this exact carrier except my bottles have never been opened. They still have coke in them with the lids
Very cool carrier i have a few bottles myself.
