This little Pocket ashtray is the neatest thing !! I have had it for 10+ years ! I bought it at a local flea Market. The box is in great condition and so is the ashtray. It is made in Hong Kong and that leaves me to believe it is from the early '60's. The ashtray slides out of itself and the cigarette rest is on a spring and flips out when you slide it apart. My Dad said that these were very popular for people in the army while on post as they had to "Field Dress" their cigarette butts.... they couldn't just throw them on the ground. I have also heard they were sold in the PX's on base for service men to purchace for the same reason.

just got one myself. it looks completely unused like yours. do you have any idea what they are worth? I found mine at the goodwill store and paid $1.99. The original price tag was still on it and said 49 cents. It is very cool and I would have a hard time giving it up from my collection.
