This fan was found at a flea market here in Nashville a few months back.
The guy that sold them works on them and restores them as well. He told me this one was all original and worked great. When he plugged it in, it worked perfectly! Quiet and smooth running. Bought for my wife but I may have to steal it when she's not lookin! Anyone know the year on this fan? 30s? I know some of the earlier ones from the 20s had brass blades.

Gilbert manufactured this model of Polar Cub between 1935-1939 when it was replaced by a 10" model A53. This particular model was extremely popular prior to WWII and replaced the smaller 5" model that was also a desktop pen holder and the 10" model A11.
