Yesterday, came across these interesting 50s cuff links. Took me awhile to figure out the motif meaning. On the back of the links are R and L respectively. Once I saw that and looked again at the little lanterns in the corners, it said to me: One if by land; Two if by sea. Pretty cool, huh?

These were found at a local shop.

I love them. The story behind them is just my kind of thing and I do collect cuff links.

Greetings from Philadelphia, AR8Jason! Aren't these fun? Found them for a customer of mine for her sweetie. There was a pair of sterling (what looked to me like) Sputnik 60s links at the same shop. She opted for these and I can't blame her.

That is OK. I just wondered as to how many of these there were out there and if a common companyy did them. Due to the theme I would date them to the mid 1970s.
