That gorgeous and highly sought after Liberty necklace is gold, not gold metal. Here is a similar one, where the position of the turquoise and blister pearls is varied, that sold at Sotheby's in London July 16, 2009, for US$6,883.00:

A magnificent piece of Art Nouveau jewelry and cased as a bonus!
I read what I'd written and must add :-
PLEASE excuse all my Typos and bad spelling!!
I'm still trying to figure out how the goldsmith threaded the pearls and sealed the containing links without damaging the pearls. Amazing skill was necessary to construct the pieces.
Its a beautiful piece of jewellery. What is the estimated value of it? also do you know anyone who buys high end jewellery? I'm talking like fifty to one hundred thousand US dollars.
Hi Manigos, I do not know any one who collects in that range. The owners have had an old valuation of $12,000 but that is probably it's replacement value for insurance purposes.
A little more ionformation on the piece:-
Lit.: Liberty Jewellery sketch-book, page 207. Model number 8008. (Fitted case)
