Unusual child's nite light, that I've had for quite sometime . The head sits on the base where the lamp goes, and then the light shines out through the mouth and through the child's fingers. The electrical cord looks to be out of the 40's or 50's, but really not sure on the date. There is a name inscribed in the base that reads "Lewis Weil" pat 118522. If anyone has ever seen this piece or has any info, would you please enlighten me. Thank you!

Thanks for the info, ester110, this ceramic nite lite may have a completely different look at night, but anyways, different strokes for different folks. Thanks for stopping by.

Oh, sorry, I forgot to say...it's not the ceramic nite lite she has now. When I googled images of "vintage baby's head nite light" it came up with your same light, but it was sold on november 14th 2009. That's why I said the seller may remember something about it. All it takes is a short email.
There's another, on rubyplaza, but it gives no useful info. Here's the link, anyways.

Hello wingletts, ebay is a good reference on pricing them because I've seen prices all over the place, but I personally like the ones with the glass eyes. Hope this helps!

I have the exact same night light! Can't locate any information, so I am also curious about the value.

I have the same nightlite as you. I did notice the the night lite from Rudyplaza.com has a space between the index and second finger while ours to not. I am looking for info also, here in Michigan.

When I was very young we had this same nightlight. It sat on a cabinet in the hallway outside our bedroom doors. I found the sleepy baby head with the light coming out of the mouth very comforting. It made just enough light to navigate and as our rooms were right at the head of the stairs, prevented us from stumbling down them in the dark.
This was in the early Fifties. I don't know how old it was but we had it from the late Forties, I would think. I remember some numbers and letters on it. Probably the same as yours. It was a sort of tan color and made of some dull finished pottery. The head got broken several times so eventually we only had the base with the hand for our light. I very much missed that little baby. ????
