This is one of my largest agates. It weighs 1lb 1.6oz. I picked it about 2 years ago in a local gravel pit. It's a nice rock but as you can see it has a large amount of quartz. Collectors like solid agates, I really don't care as long as it has nice bands or lines. Thanks for looking.

Yes,I thought i detected "Sugar Quartz" amazing,I Love the combo's too, like Jasper agate and even chert agate.Just not as much as Lake Superior Agate of course, but deffinately unique in their own ways.
I would love to see some of your collection, you are obviously a fellow rockhound.
I live in an area where the only rocks to be found have been imported here from other places and most people aren't to happy when they find you in their yard stealing them...LOL... These are beautiful!
People around here don't like us picking in their yard/gardens too. I have been kicked out of many driveways and gravel pits. I usually try and get permission when I hunt in a field.
Thanks for the love.
Most of my best ones are not near as nice or large as yours, but the jar that i posted on here w/the agates in it are the most of my best. Then I have the other categorized and in separate jars, and labeled(I sound like I have OCD).I could maybe try to get some close ups of some of the ones in the jars if you like?
