Here's a company citation from the Spanish American War, that has always been in my family, has one of my family member on it. What was cool is that it was framed behind several other cool family pictures that no one knew was there until the frame got broke.

Very cool. One time I purchased a photo of a WWI Canadian regiment in formation in the city square before they were shipped overseas. I had no idea why I was drawn to it, I just was, so I bought it. Afterwards I noticed the frame was sort of loose, so I took it apart and found a pre-WWI marriage certificate underneath - like you found this certificate underneath.
I have not researched the names yet - but when you imagine why someone would leave their marriage certificate behind a photo of men going off to war, it kind of makes your heart sink.
Wow, This one was under a very good drawing of my 3 Great Grandpa, then a pencil drawing of his son and a post card of him in his uniform from the war, also was a amazing picture of a lady in a bonnet milking a cow, she's squirting the milk in the mouth of a little girl. It's the only photo out of all of it I do not have, my sister has that,I did make copies of it for all in our family to enjoy.
