This Black Forest trumpeter clock was made by Emilian Wehrle in Furtwangen Germany C. 1880. The clocks case is 44" high and exquisitely carved from walnut. The robust 8 day brass movement plays the William Tell Overture on 8 brass horns every hour which two large trumpeter figures appear through the double doors at the base of the clock.
