(10 items)
This early Black Forest Flötenuhr, was made C. 1820. On the hour the clock plays one of 6 musical tunes on a rank of 15 wood pipes.
The tune selection covers a wide range of marches and even a lovely waltz.
The shield is decorated with floral wreath around the dial and a painting of a castle on the Rhine in the upper arch.
Wood plate movement with wood arbors, weights are suspended by ropes.
The clock was fully conserved/restored in Germany in early 2011 and is now in wonderful playing condition. It is a wonderful clock that fills the home with an "old world" tune every hour.
