This carving stands 5 1/4 tall, 8 1/4 inches long. Don't know if it's soapstone, or marble; the monkies are holding up the'vase' portion, surrounded by large black birds (ravens?) has a slight greensih hue to it; in pencil on the back is ITALIA 1933 and some sort of faded signature that appears to be "Perez". I purchased it from a street vendor in Warsaw, Poland in 2000, and was unable to get any info on it. Any info I could find out would be greatly appreciated.
