It was love at first sight; I was in an area of Warsaw Poland browsing the antique vendors and saw this (marble??) carving of a wolf. He has amber stones for eyes, and is 7 inches long, approx. 2 1/4 tall; looks like he's ready to come alive. He has no markings, and the underside is a little rough; I think he may have been a part of larger work at one time. No earthly idea of his origins, etc. anyone have any ideas, info? Thanks !
