I inherited this beautiful 3 piece desk. I have the keys to it and they work. I know zero about this desk. Could use some helpful knowledge and advice.

Beautiful piece-- I would date it from about 1880- 1900.

It looks to be in fantastic condition. Does it have a family history?

    Thanks for sharing,

    Scott

This "secretary desk is beautiful and looks like it is in great condition!...I remember as a child, my mom had one ( it might have been from my grandmother) I Loved to sit at that desk and set it up with all my papers and supplies in all the drawers and put all my books on the shelves. I wish I had it now...You should look behind, under and in back of the desk, drawers etc, for any markings or name stamps..perhaps any info from where you inherited it from...family, etc. Search the internet for antique secretary desks, that could be a start and you may find out some info too! Im glad you posted it here, it looks good and I'm sure someone here might be able to give you some answers..Thanks for sharing

Italian Renaissance revival barrel-"top" desk 1870's-1890. Worth (if excellent) about $2000-2500.
