I live in Italy and share time between here and Florida. The other day we were cleaning out one of our out-buildings to make way for construction and I came across this over-sized Birra di Sicilia (Messina) dal 1923 can/keg just sitting in a back corner.
I checked the measurements of the can/keg (approx 11 1/2" across the top and 18" tall) with those computations in hand did some quick math (~1837 cubic inches) and determined that the can held ~30 liters of beer.
Confirmed with a few locals that they recall these having beer in them and were distributed this way. I have yet to hear from the Beer Collectors out there that have ever seen another example of this can.
I have looked everywhere and cannot seem to locate a single image of a can this large.
Please help. Thanks. Please contact me if you have ever seen another item like this

I think it's a garbagecan especially if it has no top and has a rounded upper edge.
Don't throw it away, I'm sure you will be able to sell it online.
