This vase was bought at a Saturday morning market here in Sydney about five years ago.
I have a few pieces of Dutch glass but most are from the thirties by Andries Dirk Copier.
This vase is a solid heavy piece marked on the bottom Leerdam MB 81 and F.M.. It is 11 cm high. I believe this Unica to be made in 1958.
I really like the green metal of Leerdam glass. The Dutch term for this colour is "olijfgroene" or olive green. Thanks to APOSTATA
While researching this item today I became aware of Floris Meydam's death on September 25 this year. He was 91 years of age.

"For 35 years (1949-1984) Meydam was head of design department at Leerdam. In this capacity he gave the post-war collection of the glass factory a recognizable face. He is responsible for a large number of designs for both utility glass (glass dinnerware, bowls, vases, etc.) and glass packaging. In addition, he designed numerous pieces of occasional glass: Leerdam Unica, Leerdam Serica and glass panels. He also designs for the ceramics industry, including the famous Black Princess for Regina.
Meydam continually searched for new forms and he designed many innovative items. Typical of his work is the simplicity of the design.
As an industrial designer and independent artist, he received many national and international awards and prizes. In 1952 he was the first Dutch designer at the Museum of Modern Art (New York) and won the "Good Design Award". After retirement in 1984 he continued on as an independent glass artist."

Very interesting piece. I'm still trying to figure out how it was made...maybe some sort of mold?

      I am equally baffled.
It reminds me of a spinning top caught inside the green frame.
The designs for these pieces were quite involved.
I have not yet found the design for Unica MB 81.
Thanks again for your kind comments.

this is 1958 i ran thisLeerdam unica merken in the database

i also asked was it for Focke en Meltzer in the Kalverstraat ( more value), no it was,not

actually 1952-1962 was artistically a lesser period ( exception slingervazen), because the Americans bought a lot of cheaper stuff , so there was quite a volume

Leerdam always got americain connections, mainly thanks to Andries Copier
