An old London watch made by Somserson in London around 1776. I can't find anything about it on the internet.

   This looks German to me. The name on it might have been the owner. What you need to look up is the silver marks

   Acually the name might be the broker that sold it. This is the place to ask about this. Come back and let us know what you find out. Give them the picture of the mark if you can only post one picture

   Definitely English. The London mark on the works and the lion on the case identify both to be English.
