The first picture is the documentation from the Cooper Hewitt catalog.
The second shows one of the different Zslonay marks.
The third, a buck in iridescent purple--rare.
The fourth, an artist's signature on the goat figurine.

But Al..its pottery for crying out loud!...I thought you were allergic to anything made of clay :-))...the buck is beautiful.

Actually, I have a glass and pottery menagerie. I love animal figurines. I have all three of the Met's faience hyppos! BUT--I buy pedigreed stuff: Steuben, Lalique, Baccarat etc. Very little pottery, mostly Zslonay.

Nice, Al - even I have a couple of Zsolnay pots - reticulated multi-colored eosin glazed. They sit comfortable surrounded by Loetz bowls that are similar in shape. :)

My first partner, who passed on in 1988, was a fan of American pottery. We had more than 100 pieces. The VB's and Ohr were his; the big Fulpers were mine. I sold the whole lot and moved definitely into Czech after he died. How can a guy who has three sets of dinnerware for two people hate pottery?
