I purchased this reprint from the Hawkinsville Dispatch and News old photograph sale because it is where I spent much of my childhood, I love the facade, the neon sign, etc...
This theater was a symbol of the times, good and bad, but I loved it and am sorry it no longer stands. I believed the theater closed in the 70's. The movies I recall seeing were House of Dark Shadows, That's Entertainment!, and Jaws. My favorite concession treat was a box of Red Hots, but others recall buying cups of pickle juice, corn dogs.

Rebuilt after a fire in the early 50's, this theatre reminds me of my close by theatre of a small town and the excitement of movies. Love the look.
