I found this peice of pottery at a garge sale and it seams pretty old. I can't find any markings on it except at the bottom where it says "to mom from son," 75'. I find it hard to beileve that this thing was hand crafted, because of the nicely painted and sculpted detail, I would have to imageine that this was casted, but how did the inscription get on the bottom. It is about a foot tall and the lid comes all the way off. The inside is just plain white glazed. Its a long shot, but if anyone has any info on value or history it would be much appreciated.
