An old egg case I was givin but can't seem to find one like it and very little information on the "Wentworth Brothers". It's solid wood and you have to unscrew it before it opens. Any help with this item and maybe it's value would be appreciated. Thanks...

Here is some patent info.
US Pat. 1455316 - Filed Jul 3, 1922 - Issued May 15, 1923
Thank you HmsAntiquetrunks, now what do i do with the patent?
The patent tells you the earliest date your item could have been made, and in many cases yours will be close to that age. How long did they make items like yours? Not long I would guess. Patent date can narrow the age of an item, and if you go to Google patents, and put the number, 1455316, in the search box you can read about your crate.
